The
genuinity of the Giuffrida Anise is already
tried by the pleasant perfume known from beyond 70 years in a few areas
of Italy, in particular Calabria. The anetolo is a member which predominates
in the etereo special aromatic sweet taste oil, contained in the fruits
of greyish green colour of the anise. This plant is a little annual grass
original of Egypt and the eastern Mediterranean areas, principally cultivated
also in Italy in Abruzzo and Puglia. The anetolo was well-known since
the most ancient times (Teofrasto, Dioscoride, Plinio and CarloMagno)
and his use was spread in the XVI century. In Egypt during the occupation
of Romans, an anise cup was given in prize to the winner of the runs with
the bighe.
The anetolo, doing part of the carminativi medicaments, increases the
tonicità and the contratbility by the stomach and by the intestine
and has the property to promote the elimination of the gases from the
standing pipe and soothe pains these produce; therefore being a digestive
optimum turns out.
The Anice lattante is much used in the summer period, in fact few drops
in a fresh water glass make an excellent dissetante drink
